Game Fishing in the West Cork Region can be very fruitful & productive to the cunning angler. Within the 15 mile radius of The Parkway Hotel there are many mature rivers with natural spawning grounds.
RIVER BANDON : Covering over 235 sq km it offers the angler a wealth of opportunity to fish for salmon, sea trout & brown trout. The estimated salmon catch in this area per year is 1,300
RIVER SULLANE: A tributary of the River Lee producing good quality brown trout fishing. Here there is also a lake run of larger trout in the autumn.
RIVER ILEN: A medium sized river draining a catchment of 117sq miles boasting good runs of spring salmon and sea trout with the grilse running in June to late July.
RIVER COOMHOLA: A small spate river that gets a good run of grilse from late June to late July
