WEST CORK
Home to some of the most breathtaking scenery in Ireland, West Cork is a haven of music, culture and poetry. Some of the main places of interest within easy driving distance from Dunmanway Town are:-

Gougane Barra
The site of the sixth century hermitage of St. Finbarr, the patron saint of Cork, sits on a little island on a lake against a backdrop of rugged hills.

Bantry Bay
Beautiful Bantry Bay is home to the mussel farms and fishing fleets which supply the fresh produce offered in many of the seafood restaurants situated in Bantry. A traditional market is held on the first Friday of every month.

Glengarrif and Garnish Island
At the turn of the 20th century this once rocky island covering 37 acres was turned into a paradise of exotic plants imported from all over the world. A must see!
